Fundamentals of Drawing. A multi-level class for anyone who would like to explore or enhance their drawing skills.
Whether you are new to art-making or are looking for a class to help solidify these basic skills. We will focus on line and mass, organic and geometric shape-making, and the depiction of volume. Jan. 19 – Feb. 23, 2021.

Painting Studio with Dee Hood, A multi-level class for anyone who would like to explore acrylic painting. Work with representational painting, abstraction and collage while improving skills with color, composition and techniques. January 20 – February 24, 2021.

Painting with Watercolors. For students at all levels. Explore: color; brush strokes from flat washes to dancing with your brushes; techniques from wet to scrubbing; and more. Includes Materials. Jan. 19 – Feb. 23, 2021.

The inaugural Firehouse Poetry Contest will be held from January 28 until March 1, 2021. In the spirit of Amanda Gorman’s inaugural poem, “The Hill We Climb,” poets are encouraged to write on the theme of “My Hope for 2021.” Poems may be formal or free verse (any style accepted), but poems must be under 50 lines. A $5.00 submission fee required to enter the contest.
