Workshops in Partnership with the Tampa Museum of Art (TMA)

• Adults 55+ | Beginner-Intermediate Level | Portrait Painting Students will learn how to paint a head study in oil from the life model. We’ll cover the basics of color theory and paint mixing. Participants will then map out their study with an under-drawing. Through demonstration and individual critiques, students will gain confidence in handling oils and develop an understanding of how to capture a likeness.
Sundays | 1:00 – 4:00 pm | Nov 15 – Dec 20 (5 classes). Classes held @ the Firehouse Annex.

Figure Drawing Group, Spring/Fall 2026 June dates are June 11 & June 25, Thursdays, 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm.
No Figure drawing in July & August.
Beginning in September, class resumes on the second and fourth Thursday of the month, 6:00 – 9:00 pm.

Strengthen your skills in our monitored figure drawing session with a variety of timed poses. Bring your chalk, paint, charcoal or pencil, you choose the medium! Model varies by session. Explore the art of clay in our monitored Open Pottery Studio designed for both wheel throwing and hand building artists. This flexible 4-class opportunity is perfect for students with prior clay experience wanting additional studio time to practice techniques, complete projects, and grow creatively at their own pace. Adults.

• Intro to the Pottery Wheel (Sept-Oct)  You’ll discover the joy of working with clay in this hands-on, beginner to intermediate course focused on the fundamentals of wheel throwing. In 5 weeks, you’ll learn how to center clay, pull walls, and shape basic forms like bowls, mugs, and cylinders. We’ll also cover trimming, surface decoration, and glazing techniques so you can finish and fire your own unique pieces. No experience necessary – just bring your curiosity and willingness to get your hands dirty! Includes 25 lbs. of clay, glaze and firing.

• Little Hands Big Creations Kids Pottery Class – 3-Session Series. Ages 5 to 9 – Get your hands dirty and your creativity flowing in this fun and interactive 3-session pottery series designed just for kids! Tuesdays, Sept. 1, 15 & 29, from 1:00 – 2:30 pm.

• From Mud to Magic – Kids Pottery Ages 10 and Up Mud to Magic Kids Pottery Class – 3-Session Series. Ages 10 and Up – Get your hands dirty and your creativity flowing in this fun and interactive 3-session pottery series designed just for kids! Tuesdays, Sept. 8, 22 & Oct. 6, from 1:00 – 2:30 pm..

• Return to Painting: FALL DATES Ready to return to the easel—or take your painting skills a step further? This engaging five-week course is designed for artists who want a refresher on painting materials, techniques, and processes, with a special focus on portrait painting. 5-week course: Wednesdays, September 2–30 from 1:30 – 3:30 pm in the FCC Annex.

• Mosaic Jewelry Create truly personal and unique wearable art. At this fun class you’ll make 2-3 pendant necklaces using beads, charms, seaglass and other findings. Includes all tools and supplies needed. Monday, September 14, 10:30 am.

• Floral Resin Jewelry Come and create some colorful accessories using dried flowers, glitter and colorings in UV resin. You’ll make 2-3 pendant necklaces or keychains and will have a choice of pendant shapes, including flower, butterfly, round, oblong and oval. Monday, September 14, 1:30 pm.

• Beach Vibes & Clay: One & Done Charcuterie Platter Class Bring a little piece of the beach to your table! In this fun, beginner-friendly one-and-done clay class, you’ll hand-build your very own beach-themed charcuterie platter. Saturday, Sept 26, 11:00 am to 1:00 pm.

• Glass Fusing Workshop: Pumpkins – Oct 3 You choose your pattern and colors in creating your colorful fall glass creation. This 4″ x 6″ glass art will brighten any room or window. Saturday, Oct. 3 at 2:00 pm. This class will be in the FCC ANNEX, 305 US HWY 41 (Corner of Shell Point & 41).

• Clay to Table Serving Bowls Serve Art with your meal or snack with this Clay to Your Table workshop. In this fun, beginner-friendly one-and-done clay class, you’ll hand-build your very own textured and glazed serving bowl. Saturday, Oct 10 11:00 am to 1:00 pm.

• HOMESCHOOL: Halloween FUN You’ll create three pieces for Halloween: a stretch bracelet, a beaded spider ornament and a beaded Halloween suncatcher. Friday, October 16, 10:30 pm.

• Decoupage Pumpkin Ornaments Come and create a large and small fall pumpkin ornament using decoupage. Choose from a wide range of fall, floral, coastal, Halloween and Thanksgiving designs. Friday, October 16, 1:30 pm.

• Seaglass Jewelry & Gifts You’ll create four pieces of coastal jewelry and accessories using seaglass – a personalized seaglass necklace, a seaglass charm bangle, seaglass bookmark and keychain or purse charm. You’ll also learn about the history of seaglass colors and where to search for your own seaglass. Wednesday, November 11, 10:30 am.

• Spiral Beaded Jewelry Learn how to create spiral designs around beads to create eye-catching jewelry. Choose to make a pair of earrings along with either a necklace or a bracelet. Wednesday, November 11, 1:30 pm

• Just Beachy: Resin Ornaments & Jewelry This fun class you’ll create 3 pieces of your choice from an ornament, pendant necklace, pair of earrings, and a keychain using UV resin paired with seaglass, shells, glitter, sand dollars and starfish. Monday, December 7, 1:30 pm
