Students learn the basics of wheel throwing by forming and throwing simple shapes on the potter’s wheel. More advanced students will build upon the basics to create larger, more advanced projects. Discover varying throwing techniques, forms and glazing.
Materials & firings included. Age 18 to Adult.

Learn about how painter Alma Thomas builds up a painting, and create a unique abstract painting in the same style using the same process. Workshop guided step-by-step by artist and TMA Studio Programs Coordinator Anthony Record. Workshop inspired by the Alma Thomas work New Galaxy, currently on view in the exhibition The Making of a Museum: 100 Years 100 Works.
