FIGURE DRAWING IS CURRENTLY ON HOLD UNTIL SEPTEMBER 2023. On the 1st and 3rd Thursday of every month, 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm. Strengthen your skills in our monitored figure drawing session with a variety of timed poses. Bring your chalk, paint, charcoal or pencil, you choose the medium. Model varies by session. For our Remix session, students will be be inspired by Jennifer Steinkamp’s immersive digital installation, Madame Curie, and learn to draw on a digital tablet. You will learn about the artist, then make art in that style. Monday, August 14, 6-8 pm, Firehouse Cultural Center. Ages 16 and up.
For our Remix session, students will be guided through the process of translating a photograph into a stunning LEGO mosaic in the style of Ai Weiwei’s Dropping A Han Dynasty Urn (LEGO) artwork.
