Two tourists discover a treasure chest and are magically transported back in time in a fun-filled journey through Florida history. Audiences laugh and learn about Ponce De Leon, Florida’s “almost oldest” city, and the “original” Pocahontas story.
A musical melange of your favorite Broadway hits!
An audience awaits the arrival of a famed matinee idol. While cleaning the performer’s dressing room, two maids discover a stage trunk full of props and costumes. Quickly, it becomes apparent that both are frustrated performers as they begin to fantasize and enact songs and scenes from their favorite productions with the audience. Both enjoy pretending to be ‘paid actors’, but what happens when the “star” shows up to find that his dressing room has been commandeered for this impromptu performance? This hilarious romp is a fun filled escapade from Gilbert and Sullivan to Andrew Lloyd Webber!

/in Events News /by FireChiefOn Saturday, March 7th supporters of the Firehouse enjoyed an enchanting elegant evening “Under the Stars, Beside the Little Manatee River, Among the Azaleas.” Hosted by Ross and Vicki Elsberry, the Firehouse Cultural Center Gala 2015 celebrated its achievements and its substantial growth in a few short years. As guests arrived they were greeted by the silk acrobatics of the Aerial Dragons serving sparkling wine.
