About Class
Join our acrylic and water color class that focuses on on capturing the beauty and complexity of seascapes using
photogenic references. Class is designed for artists interest in understanding on how to paint water
weather its calming or full of dramatic energy. All skills welcome from beginner to intermediate.

What you are going to learn
• Explore oceans vs. rivers.
• Break down reference photos for composition and layout.
• Discussion of color, movement & transparency in water.
• Quick surface and reflection studies.
• Start your sketch or underpainting.
• Create depth with layering, texture, and glazing.
• Add elements like rocks, boats & sky.
• Balance detail with abstraction in moving water.
Students encouraged to bring reference photos of rivers and oceans,
or can choose one provided by instructor.
