Join our local artist instructors for a wide range of art making activities based on the Tampa Museum of Art’s current exhibitions to create unique works of art using the same techniques as ancient and modern masters currently on view at the Museum.

Tuition: $35 / Members $30. All Materials Provided.

October 22 Basquiat
Learn about Jean-Michel Basquiat’s process and technique, and create your own acrylic painting on a prepared panel inspired by Ordinary/Extraordinary: Jean-Michel Basquiat

November 19 Purvis Young
Learn about Purvis Young’s process and technique, and create your own acrylic painting on a prepared panel in the style of Jean-Michel Basquiat (the image is by P. Young).

December 17 Collaging with Sequins and Fabric
Inspired by Ordinary/Extraordinary: Haitian Vodou Flags, design and stitch your own work of collage using our supply of supports, sequins, beads, and fabric.
