Firehouse Cultural Center opens the 2026 season with an FCC favorite: jazz vocalist Scotty Wright.

• Scotty has the Wright equipment: a warm, soulful voice, easeful control and a seasoned knowledge of his instrument.

• Scotty has the Wright songs: familiar standards and engaging originals, and the Wright arrangements, creating a variety of moods and feels.

• Scotty also has the Wright group: Pablo Arencibia, piano; Joe Porter, bass; David Hardman, drums. Each musician has the creativity and flexibility to allow every song to shine in its own way. This reveals an energy, a mood that sounds so . . . Wright.

• The joy of jazz is found by combining the fresh and the familiar, into a music that is both timeless, and ‘today’. Join us, with Scotty’s quartet, at Firehouse Cultural Center, as we start the year off Wright.
