A wide range of follow-along make-and-take art workshops for adults inspired by the Tampa Museum of Art’s current exhibitions. Workshops are designed to be enjoyed by participants of any skill level and all materials are provided.

September 21: September Remix: Ancient Sphinx Paintings
Create an acrylic painting on canvas based on painted ceramics in the Tampa Museum of Art’s Antiquities Collection, and apply antique faux-finishing techniques using modeling paste and crackle medium.

October 19: October Remix: Monotypes
Create original painterly monotype prints inspired by the exhibition Taking Shape: Abstraction from the Arab World, 1950s–1980s.

November 16: November Remix: Winter Landscapes
Create a whimsical winter landscape painting inspired by the paintings and process of the artist Frank Ritchie, currently on view in the exhibition An Irresistible Urge to Create: Florida Outsider Art from the Monroe Family Collection.

December 7: December Remix: Abstract Gouache Paintings on Papyrus
Create an original abstract painting using gouache (opaque watercolor) on papyrus inspired by the exhibition Taking Shape: Abstraction from the Arab World, 1950s–1980s.
