Remix* TMA@Firehouse: Jacob Hashimoto Inspired Mobiles

Ages 16 and up.

The Tampa Museum of Art’s atrium has been transformed by Jacob Hashimoto’s site-specific installation This Particle of Dust. Hundreds of white and navy blue kite-like disks are suspended from the Museum’s ceiling.

For our Remix session, students will create their own kinetic sculptures, inspired by Jacob Hashimoto’s installation This Particle of Dust. This Remix explores the visual poetics of light and dark, color and form, as well as space and architecture. You will learn about the artist, then make art in that style.
