You will explore color, dive into a variety of brush strokes from flat washes to dancing with your brushes; techniques from wet to scrubbing; and more.
This class is for all levels, heighten your skills or find your hidden talent.

Supply List for Watercolor

The following checklist is designed to help you with the purchase of some or all the art supplies you might need. If you have supplies from a previous class, please bring them and then we can decide if you need to purchase other items. Most if not all items can be purchased at Amazon, Cheap Joe’s, Jerry’s Artarama or other art supply store like Blick.
We will be working from photo references. You can find thousands at, UNSPLASH.COM

  • Aquarelle Arches Block is a much better-quality watercolor paper or Pads, 9×12 inches or larger 140lb. OR Strathmore 400 Series 140lb. Watercolor Paper Pads. 9 x 12.
  • General’s Kimberly Drawing Pencils Set of 10.
  • Winsor & Newton Masking Fluid (yellow).
  • Winsor & Newton Watercolor tubes a set of 12.
  • Don’t spend too much on brushes. You can purchase a set of “W.A. Portman LTD” on Amazon for a reasonable price. Included in the set different sizes of flat, filbert, and round in different sizes and the case.
  • Clear Plastic 18” Ruler (Walmart sewing section).
  • Blue Painters Tape 1⁄2”.
  • White foamboard, they come in large sheets. (Dollar Store).
  • Plastic Mixing Palette (tray) preferable or foam dinner plates from Walmart.
  • A Plastic Container for water, paper towels and other items you might have from a previous watercolor class.
