Overview
This two-session workshop is designed for beginners to intermediates. Those who want to will improve their ability to draw still life scenes accurately and confidently. Each session focuses on foundational techniques for observing, measuring, and rendering objects in a realistic and compelling way.
WHAT YOU WILL LEARN
• Intro to still life: purpose, history, and visual impact
• Break down objects into shapes,and Angles
• Basic exercising, Measurement, and Techniques
• Strategies for aligning, measuring, and plumb lines
• Practice with simple objects
• Begin basic still life with measured outlines
MATERIALS
• Drawing pencils (HB, 2B, 4B)
• Erasers (kneaded and hard)
• Sketchbook or drawing paper
• Ruler or straight edge
• Pencil sharpener
• Optional: Viewfinder or measuring stick
