• Laissez les bons temps rouler — for a great cause! Step into the spirit of the French Quarter for an unforgettable evening inspired by the Big Easy. This is all to support scholarships for deserving adults and children in our community.
• The Firehouse Cultural Center will transform into a New Orleans celebration, complete with twinkling lights and Mardi Gras décor. Music is the heartbeat of the evening, featuring authentic New Orleans jazz, blues, and swing that keeps toes tapping.
• Food: Guests will enjoy a true taste of Louisiana with favorites like oysters, shrimp, jambalaya, gumbo, and red beans and rice — plus made-to-order beignets dusted in powdered sugar. Wine, beer, water, coffee, and tea are included with admission, and a cash bar will feature signature Hurricanes and festive cocktails.

About The Band:
The Jazz Phools are a popular six-piece band who play New Orleans, Dixieland and Zydeco music. Steve Boisen, who plays bass, banjo and ukulele with The Jazz Phools is Valerie Gillespie’s bass player and has also appeared with Synia Carroll and others. Jay Leaman, the bandleader, plays trombone and performed at a previous fundraiser with TBone’s Big Easy Band.
