Dial M For Murder is a gripping play that delves into themes of betrayal, greed, and the pursuit of the perfect crime.
Originally a stage play by Frederick Knott, it gained widespread acclaim when adapted into a film by the legendary Alfred Hitchcock in 1954. Hitchcock’s version, renowned for its innovative use of 3D technology, featured the talented Grace Kelly as Margot Wendice, whose captivating performance added depth and nuance to the character.
In this MacBeth & Cheese production, directed by Amy Windle and featuring Adrienne Lisko as Assistant Director, the story is brought to life with a fresh perspective.
The plot centers around the scheming Tony Wendice, who plots to murder his wealthy wife, Margot, to inherit her fortune. When his plan goes awry, Margot’s lover, Mark Halliday, and the astute Detective Chief Inspector Hubbard become pivotal in unraveling the mystery. The intricate dance between these characters, as they navigate suspicion and deceit, keeps the audience on the edge of their seats. With its masterful storytelling and suspenseful twists, Dial M For Murder remains a timeless classic in the thriller genre.
Dial is presented by special arrangement with Broadway Licensing, LLC. Servicing the Dramatists Play Service Collection (www.dramatists.com).
