Crabgrass Cowboys

Saturday, January 23, 2016, 7:30 pm – 9:30 pm

Location: Firehouse Cultural Center

Event type: Firehouse Pub

The astounding country sounds of “Crabgrass Cowboys,” Hapi McKenzie (the grandfather of crabgrass) on guitar and vocals; Patty Pfister on violin and vocals. Chris on bass and mandolin. Hapi and Patty first met in 1988 and have blended their music styles with Hapi’s songwriting to create a down home mixture of folk, Florida, country, rockabilly, and Americana. Their music is upbeat, loose and friendly. The kind of sound you might expect from a back porch band at an afternoon party in the woods or at a laid back western saloon. Anyone who appreciates classic western will love the Crabgrass Cowboys.
