The Ken Loomer Big Band is BIG with 15 musicians! Their goal is to keep the art of jazz music alive. Their song performances come from some of their own original works and from the Great American Songbook with music created by jazz icons such as Count Basie and Buddy Rich.

James Suggs on trumpet, Glenn Stevenson on upright bass, Richard "Stretch" Bruyn on keyboard, and Paul Gavin on drums. This group of seasoned jazz musicians was created specifically to perform for the Firehouse Cultural Center.

Peruvian Artists Glorida Reynoso and Frida Monnet are instructors at the Center for Art and Therapy “Matisse” in Peru. Frida works with print, ceramics, and art restoration. Gloria is a mutimedia artist working with print, ceramics, and digital photography.

Carmen Ciricillo’s comedy act has taken him across the country headlining at many well known comedy clubs. Vic Clevenger has also performed around the country with a comedy style that has been compared to both Jeff Foxworthy and Zig Ziglar.

In partnership with the Patel Conservatory & Straz Center, the Firehouse Cultural Center presents Opera Tampa, the resident opera company of the Straz Center, in this interactive program. Free for families & all ages.

FLIGHT! combines creative staging, original music, audience participation, & multi-media elements into a theatrical production that explores the stories of flight including the Wright Brothers, Amelia Earhart, The US/Soviet "Space Race," & NASA's many accomplishments.

The unique and imaginative theatre piece, Love Letters by A.R. Gurney, a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize for Drama, will be presented by Pelican Players at the Firehouse Cultural Center.

Firehouse Cultural Center brings together the South Shore area for a Family Holiday Celebration featuring South Shore school choruses and a visit from Santa! Also, Marines will collect Toys for Tots donations.

Bassist/Leader Tom "TBone" Hamilton (TBone Hamilton Band, The Swinging Johnsons, Rock Bottom & the Cutaways) returns to the Firehouse with his Blues All Stars, comprised of some of the area's best blues musicians.
