Artist in Residence Patrick Lindhardt graduated from the University of South Florida, Tampa, with a Master of Fine Arts Degree, Printmaking. Since 1989, Lindhardt has taught at the Ringling College of Art and Design, Sarasota, as instructor in Printmaking; Etching, Lithography, Screen Printing, Relief printing and Book Arts. He is also the owner and the printer for Flatstone Studio. Lindhardt has worked as a Printer and Fabricator, printing for artists James Rosenquist, Jim Dine, Philip Pearlstein, Robert Raucshenberg, to name a few. Lindhardt has exhibited his work throughout Florida and the US.

Artist Led Workshops

Monotype Print with the Solvent Transfer Process

Tuesday, April 24, 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

Create unique images layering monotype and image transfers. Known as the most painterly printmaking technique, a monotype is essentially a printed painting created on one surface and transferred to another sheet of paper with all the qualities of the original painting. The painted image is transferred on a printing press. No previous experience is necessary. Related topics and processes will be discussed and demonstrated.

Printmaking Hands-on Studio

Tuesday, April 24, 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.

This is a hands-on “Free Form Studio” with instruction. Students taking the morning (10:00 – 1:00) class may continue in this afternoon session at no additional fee. Students not taking the morning session, MUST register for the afternoon session.

Tuition: $100 Non-Members | $75 Members

Book-making

Thursday, April 26, 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

Make a book with text and monotype prints arranged and assembled to tell a story based on your past and present memories. Related topics and processes will be discussed and demonstrated.
