 Firehouse Cultural Center, 101 1st Ave NE, Ruskin FL WUSF, Community Foundation Tampa Bay, and the Firehouse Cultural Center proudly announce a special event focused on hurricane preparedness for the 2025 season. This free jazz concert and conversation will feature music by Bryan Hughes and the Crew, the USF Jazztet Trio, and an insightful discussion led by the WUSF news team. Vocalist Allison Nash, pianist Simon Lasky, and bassist Alejandro Arenas are well known jazz artists, composers and band leaders on the Florida jazz scene. Together, they are excited to launch this new collaboration, Arenas Lasky & Nash Project are all well known jazz artists, composers and band leaders on the Florida jazz scene, in their own right. Together, they are excited to launch this new collaboration which has a jazz sensibility, for a 21st Century audience.

Spring/Fall 2026: June dates are June 11 & June 25, Thursdays, 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm. No Figure drawing in July & Aug. then back in September, Second and Fourth Thursdays of the month, 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm. Strengthen your skills in our monitored figure drawing session with a variety of timed poses. Bring your chalk, paint, charcoal or pencil, you choose the medium. Model varies by session. Reservations are Limited. Your $15 cash tuition is due at the door.
