Get your hands dirty and your creativity flowing in this fun and interactive 3-session pottery series designed just for kids! In this beginner-friendly class, young artists will explore the basics of working with clay through hand-building techniques and get an introduction to the pottery wheel.
Fridays, June 6, 13, 20, from 12:00 – 2:00 pm
Discover the joy of working with clay in this hands-on, beginner-friendly course focused on the fundamentals of wheel throwing. Over six weeks, you'll learn how to center clay, pull walls, and shape basic forms like bowls, mugs, and cylinders. We'll also cover trimming, surface decoration, and glazing techniques so you can finish and fire your own unique pieces. Saturdays, 9:00 am until 12:00 noon June 7 - July 19 (no class July 5).
Unleash your creativity this summer! Designed for ages 12–16, this hands-on experience introduces teens to the exciting world of pottery, from hand-building techniques to wheel-throwing and glazing. Beginners or our skilled instructors will guide you through fun and engaging projects, allowing you to explore texture, form, and color. Session 1 (2 weeks) June 9 through June 20 (Tue, Wed, Thu).
Sea Creatures Glass Fusing Workshop. You choose your pattern and colors in creating your colorful glass sea creation. This 4 x 6 glass art will brighten any room or window. All Skill Levels Welcome, and all Materials Supplied.

Strengthen your skills in our monitored figure drawing session with a variety of timed poses. Bring your chalk, paint, charcoal or pencil, you choose the medium! Model varies by session. WUSF, Community Foundation Tampa Bay, and the Firehouse Cultural Center proudly announce a special event focused on hurricane preparedness for the 2025 season. This free jazz concert and conversation will feature music by Bryan Hughes and the Crew, the USF Jazztet Trio, and an insightful discussion led by the WUSF news team.
