Orilla, the highly creative and culturally diverse musical duo co-led by Ona Kirei (vocals/keys/percussion) and Alejandro Arenas (upright and electric bass) celebrates the release of their debut album ‘Daring Flowers’. They will be joined by Mark Feinman (drums) and James Suggs (trumpet) as they play through an exciting repertoire rooted in styles as diverse as their backgrounds. Performing at The Firehouse on Saturday, July 23 at 7:30 pm.
Create art using various types of stained glass and ceramic tiles. Learn the safe and proper techniques for cutting glass using wheeled nippers, running pliers, and other various glass cutting tools. Learning to use a glass grinder to shape glass will be taught. Students will explore different substrates such as wood or cement steppingstones. Methods for this class will include demonstrations, hands on practice, and one-on-one coaching from the instructor. Wednesdays, July 27 – Aug 17, 2022.
