Students will learn and explore: color (complementary colors, analogous colors, the chromatic richness of neutrals); brush strokes (from flat and variegated washes to dancing with your brushes); techniques (from wet-into-wet to spattering, pouring, spraying, stenciling, scrubbing).

Poetic forms will be examined, and different ways to derive inspiration will also be explored. Through this workshop, participants will be able to construct, revise, and submit poems of their own for potential publication.

The Dog Days Poetry Workshop will allow participants to craft and respond to poems that "beat the heat." That is, we'll be reading and writing poems about all things cold. Through the use of intensely frigid imagery, writers will get a short respite from August in Florida. Led by Poet John Davis Jr. This workshop is for participants Teens & Adults.
