Art Up Your Garden or Walkway. Make a beautiful steppingstone for your garden and learn the basics of mosaics at the same time. This four-session class you will learn how to use tools to cut and shape glass and ceramics to make a garden steppingstone. Bring your old dishes to class with you. For our Remix session, students will create their own kinetic sculptures, inspired by Jacob Hashimoto’s
installation "This Particle of Dust". This Remix explores the visual poetics of light and dark, color and form,
as well as space and architecture. You will learn about the artist, then make art in that style. Monday, May 5, 6-8 pm, Firehouse Cultural Center. Ages 16 and up.
