Location: Firehouse Cultural Center

Event type: Special Events

In partnership with the Patel Conservatory & Straz Center, the Firehouse Cultural Center presents this FREE musical event for all ages.

Pablo Sainz Villegas plays his Spanish Guitar, talks about its history, and his career. Followed by Q & A.

Heralded as “the soul of the Spanish guitar,” Villegas shocked Spanish audiences with his grasp of the instrument when he took home the Andrés Segovia Award at a mere 15 years old. A people’s guitarist, Villegas dedicated the next two decades of his career to the social power of music, through the beauty and mystery of Spanish guitar music.

“I’ve always believed in the power of music to erase borders, to go beyond borders and to connect people from any background. Music is an international language, a global language.”
— Pablo Sáinz Villegas
