The Tom Hamilton Quartet is a straight ahead jazz band led by bassist Tom Hamilton. Tom is well known in the Tampa Bay area as one of leading jazz/blues bassists. He is also a producer and studio musician. Recently, he recorded on bluesman Roy Book Binder’s new album, “The Good Book,” which reached #3 in the Americana charts last year. Currently, he is recording and producing a Willie Dixon tribute album.

For this concert Tom has assembled the best Jazz musicians in town.

On guitar is Dan Harris. Dan, in addition to being a prolific composer, has played the Clearwater Jazz Holiday, the Suncoast Classic, and is co-leader of the Hamilton-Harris Project which will headline the 24th annual Suncoast Jazz Classic in 2014. On piano is Tom Becker. Tom Becker has played piano for Wayne Cochran and the C.C. Riders, backed Martha Reeves, and studied 6 years in college piano performance. He has played jazz solo, duals, trios, quartets, and larger, and is currently at Chill in St Pete Beach 3 nights a week. Fred Edinborgh hails from New York where he played with top jazz musicians like Chet Baker. Since moving to Florida he been a 1st call jazz drummer working for the Al Downing Jazz Association, the Hard Rock Casino, and many other concerts in between.

This show will be dedicated to the late jazz promoter, Rick Gee. Tom and Rick were close friends and put on many successful concerts together. If you love jazz and improvisation, you will not want to miss this concert!
