Introduction to Painting

An introductory course on basic painting techniques, with an emphasis on observation and imagination using acrylic media. Topics include the use of composition, color, texture, form, value and mark making through representation and abstraction.

Instructor: Dee Hood

Artist bio: Dee Hood’s background is in painting, sculpture and time based media. Her work has been exhibited in numerous local, national and international museums, galleries, and film festivals. Formerly a full-time faculty member at the Ringling College of Art and Design in Sarasota.
