Ages 8 – 14

Schedule:
8:30 – 9:00 a.m: Drop off
12:00 – 12:30 p.m: Lunch
3:15 – 3:30 p.m: Pick up

Campers are required to bring a brown bag lunch.
Snacks will be provided by the Firehouse Cultural Center for morning & afternoon breaks.
Each week culminates with a performance or a ‘Show-off’ for family and friends.


Week 1: June 5 – June 9
Musical Theater I

Campers will sparkle like stars as they explore a range of acting and Broadway musical theater performance techniques while developing a stage presence through theater games, improvisation, costume play and storytelling. Campers sharpen acting and vocal skills as they prepare for a “stage debut” before family and friends.

Week 2: June 12 – June 16
Musical Theater II

Campers will refine their star quality as they learn acting techniques for musical theater. They will develop self-confidence while working on scenes to be performed live before an audience. Class includes joint scene work, improvisation and relaxation exercises. Culminates with a Stage Performance for family and friends.

Week 3: June 19 – June 23
Musical Theater III

Campers will sparkle like stars as they explore a broader range of acting and immerse themselves into Broadway musical theater performance techniques. Campers will develop confidence and a stage presence through theater games, improvisation, costume play and storytelling. Campers sharpen acting and vocal skills as they prepare for a “stage premiere” for family and friends.

Week 4: June 26 – June 30
Musical Theater IV

Campers will sparkle like stars as they explore a range of acting and Broadway musical theater performance techniques while developing a stage presence through theater games, improvisation, costume play and storytelling. Continuing Campers will strengthen their acting and vocal skills as they prepare for a “stage show” for family and friends.

Week 5: July 3 – July 7
No Camp on Tuesday, July 4th
Drawing • Painting • Watercolors

Each drawing, painting or watercolor starts with a line, a mark. Add a bit of color, and campers make their mark with a creative and imaginative variety of unique drawing, painting and watercolor activities. Culminates with a ‘Show-off’ for family and friends.

Week 6: July 10 – July 14
Cartooning & Animation I

Campers bring their favorite characters to life and create their own characters, as they develop basic cartooning, animation and storytelling skills. Campers will create a comic strip and an animation movie. Culminates with a ‘Show-off’ for family and friends.

Week 7: July 17 – July 21
Cartooning & Animation II

Campers continue to bring their favorite characters to life and create their own characters, as they develop basic cartooning, animation and storytelling skills. Campers will create a comic strip and an animation movie. Culminates with a ‘Show-off’ for family and friends.

Week 8: July 24 – July 28
Robotics I

Campers work in small teams to create and program a robot as they learn simple digital programming to command tasks and learn simple coding (programming) to do things with light & sound. Younger campers, design and make your own FUN creation. Make them move and do things — like robots! Culminates with a ‘Show-off’ for family and friends. Materials Fee for Robotics: $50 

Week 9: July 31 – August 4
Robotics II

Campers work in small teams to create and program a robot as they learn simple digital programming to command tasks and learn simple coding (programming) to do things with light & sound. Younger campers, design and make your own FUN creation. Make them move and do things — like robots! Culminates with a ‘Show-off’ for family and friends. Materials Fee for Robotics: $50

$50 Materials Fee will be added for each Robotics Camp.

Cancellation Refund Policy:
  • Registration cancellations made two (2) or more weeks prior to the start of camp will receive a full refund, with the exception of membership.
  • Registration cancellations made less than two (2) weeks prior to the start of camp will incur a thirty dollar ($30) cancellation fee.
  • Registration cancellations made after the first (1st) day of camp will incur a fee for the day plus a thirty dollar ($30) cancellation fee.
  • Absolutely no refunds after the second (2nd) day of camp. A prorated credit will be issued at the discretion of FCC and may be used towards any FCC camp or program with a one (1) year expiration from the date of issue.
