All About Cats

Sunday, September 28, 2014, 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm

Location: Firehouse Cultural Center

Event type: Family Theater

Throughout history, from tabbies to tiger striped, domestic cats have fascinated the world. Cats are the Number One pet today, providing companionship to millions. Join composer, singer, storyteller, and lifelong cat aficionado, Denny Mitchell, for “All About Cats.” Enjoy an afternoon of entertainment and music, as you learn about these beautiful, amazing creatures with sight and sound that will have you laughing with surprise.

South Shore veterinarians, animal hospitals, pet stores, pet groomers, and animal rescue/shelters will be participating in a “Cat Expo,” to present their services and to answer questions.

Denny will answer questions such as:

  • How did cats evolve?
  • How long have they been around?
  • How did they get engaged with mankind?
  • How come domestic cats have “proud tails?”
  • Have they always been the #1 pet in the world?
  • When is a cat right for you?
  • What makes them physically unique?
  • Are they like us?
  • Do they behave like us?
  • How many are they?
  • Are there too many?
  • If so, what can we do about it?
  • Why do so many celebrities live with cats?
  • What will they give you and and what do you have to do to bring them into your life?
