 Firehouse Cultural Center, 101 1st Ave NE, Ruskin FL Learn about sustainability and conservation; try new, fresh foods and recipes. We will also grow plants for eating, cooking, creating, and sharing in the new FCC garden. We’ll experiment with a wide variety of veggies, herbs and flowers growing in everything from straw bales to tires to homemade garden beds. Digging in the dirt and caring for plants is a wonderful way to have fun, learn and connect to each other and our shared natural world. |

 Firehouse Cultural Center, 101 1st Ave NE, Ruskin FL 5 Week workshop with USF Mechanical Engineering graduate Riley Trumble, will be teaching students to assemble circuits and simple coding (programming) to make a tiny computer, an “Arduino Micro Controller”, do simple things with light and sound. This class, combining electronic circuits and coding, will be the first in a series of more advanced classes, exploring more advanced projects! Electronic Starter Kit, with an Arduino Micro Controller, and instruction book with 11 different projects for students to do at home is included. |

An accomplished jazz saxophonist, Jack Wilkins has 7 CD’s out, including the newest release on Chronograph Records titled "The Rundle Sessions." This follows "The Banff Project", a collection of Wilkins compositions with original films by Edwin Dennis and others. Jack is also the Director of the Jazz Studies Program at the University of South Florida. At USF he teaches courses in jazz improvisation, jazz styles and analysis, teaches applied jazz performance and directs the USF Jazztet, an internationally acclaimed student jazz ensemble that has performed at many European jazz festivals. He will be joined by James Suggs and La Lucha. Saturday, April 20 at 7:30 pm.
